This is going to be more akin to purchasing a law or surgical practice from a retiring professional than purchasing a dental/OBGYN/primary care practice where 90% the patients will stay with you after the purchase. If you don't have the reputation/source of supply that the current guy does, or if the clients just don't feel comfortable with you (less a concern if he's turning over dealers to you as well), then you're going to hemorrhage clients, and what was a $7.5K/week business for him will become a $2K/week business for you.
That's fine if you price in the risk. And if the guy's leaving on a dime and needs to unload his practice quickly (he'll start losing clients the second he leaves, and he knows that, so he has to sell before) then maybe he'll sell it for a song. |

Date: May 31st, 2019 2:10 PM Author: sadistic exhilarant goyim church Flipping sounds like a good idea until you realize you've got to handle operations in the interim, and any drop in net revenue is going to be fully reflected in your subsequent sale price -- and you'll almost certainly see expenses spike when your dealer network learns about the deal and wants to press you for a higher cut; I've never once seen one of these deals go down where the new owner didn't have to kill at least one street-level guy to make his point (so you'll need to factor in that cost as well, unless you're planning on taking your obviously-jewish ass down to the corner and poppin' a nigger yourself).
I'm a big philosophical believer that you don't try to flip a full, going-concern business unless you think you can add value to it in the period you have it. And that's often doable when we're talking about poorly run operations in "heroin deserts" where even shitty businessmen can make it and you can come in, optimize operations, and then unload. But it doesn't sound like your situation here.
I'm not saying don't buy if he's offering to sell for a .5 price-to-sales ratio. I'm just saying be prepared when there isn't a magical buyer coming out of the woodwork (who isn't already here to buy direct from the current owner) in six months to buy from you at 130% of your purchase price. |

You've got the capital to fund growth, and that's what a lot of these guys taking draws on 100% of their profits need. |
