I applied to hundreds of jobs throughout the US, with only a few interviews. I was interviewing at shitty insurance defense places that paid virtually nothing. On application 250 I landed a job in the DC office of a v20, got it, made way more than I was worth for a few years, and then moved back to my home town to a firm that wouldn’t respond to my resume a few years ago.
