Overall the OP is right, but for the wrongest, dumbest possible reason. The real reason why Curb is funnier is that the form/lack of scripting allows very funny people to make up funny shit and then they air the result. Tons of people (mostly guys, but plenty of girls) come on that show and kill it, e.g. Wanda Sykes feeding Larry "the black man." All those little moments are genius and even someone as neurotic as Larry David wouldn't be able to come up with all of those beats if he was scripting every line. |
