You typically only need to park it until closing and you can move it afterwards.

However these published rates are total flame and when you call, the real rate is never what they give you.

Just refi’ed into 7/1 ARM at 2.75% with $1m relationship.

2nd refi in 4 years. Will refi again before 7 years or just pay off the house after 7.

Ask for no closing costs.

I have always been referred through someone and ask for the same lowest rate and no closing costs like that person. That or use a mortgage broker or get a bunch of quotes and ask the banks to beat each other.

That rate above is flame in the first place and itsfor new purchase. Refi rates are always higher and national avg is hovering just around 4% for 30 year fixed non jumbo. Best you can do with some relationship pricing or other discounts is likely 3.75% so maybe shop around but you guys aren’t getting raped at 4.25%.

Mortgage rates in the U.S. touched a nearly three-year low in recent weeks. The average rate on a 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage for a typical borrower wielding excellent credit and a 20% down payment fell to 3.56% last week from 3.75% in the week before the Fed’s July 30-31 policy meeting, according to Freddie Mac .

He’s refinancing, the rates are higher, generally 0.25%+ more than purchase.

Demands for refi’s have been really high since May/June and the refi rates are not keeping in line with the fed cuts. Currently the refi rate for my loan is 0.125% higher than when I refi’ed in June despite rates going down during that time. It took me 3 months to close on my refi due to them being so swamped and the rates did not go down during that time.
