Fitting, considering that the events and the mafia (at least as its portrayed) are from a bygone era. I do agree that the CGI aging wasn't the best, especially for Deniro. Deniro still moves like an old man and it looks silly when he's in action (beating someone up, tossing a gun, doing a hit). I don't why they didn't just hire some young kid to play the younger deniro.
It's not Scorsese's best work but certainly worthy of a best picture nod in the current climate. |

There was no plot or conflict to the movie really. It was just watch these old people be gangsters for 3.5 hours.
It's a biopic of a person who had an interesting profession, but wasn't really that interesting himself. |

Full of boomer history and 'back in my day' bullshit. Sheeran literally has to narrate through the fourth wall that nobody watching knows Hoffa or his history because the Netflix demo is too young.
Somehow despite spending nearly 3.5 hours with these characters I didn't give a shit about any of them. |
