Contrary to most other timelines ITT, after our first (and still only, 4 yrs later) kid I became a lot meaner and more vindictive while she has made a sort-of-sincere effort to stop being the gigantic fucking cunt she had been 2010-2014. (Was also a total slob, classic case of woman who can’t be bothered to clean ANYTHING and is not bothered by squalor until roaches are literally crawling up her twat - I can tell it’s excruciating for her but she cleans significantly more now.)
Timing of kid is sort of a coincidence re: the downward spiral of our relationship - she (kid) has aggravated things by making time and energy more scarce, but is not the reason for this I.e. it’s not a classic “kid changed the whole atmosphere of the marriage for the worse all of a sudden and if we never had the kid things would still be 180.”
Long story short, the current situation is because she made more money than me for a few years pre-kid and harangued me daily over it. Her family also was openly contemptuous of me because of this.Now this situation is reversed and then some, and since I’m a bitter, vengeful person in general it’s payback time.
Reversal is also not directly related to kid in the way one would reasonably assume... she didn’t want to reduce her workload/stop working - she had been soft-fired from her high-paying job shortly BEFORE getting pregnant , and then found herself RESUMEGAPPWNED when she tried to resume the same career track (which she really really wanted to b/c her MY CAREER is everything to her)2 yrs later.
And based on some good luck and a whole lot of well-strategized grinding (the latter motivated by the shrew henpecking hell she put me through for years) I’m now making more than she did at peak salary, and have yuge advancement potential and momentum (even in the fraudvirus world.)
Also, her family had a financial catastrophe (that was their fault) in these intervening years, and they’ve gone from being “very wealthy” by most definitions to being one step away from the homeless shelter.
So basically, maybe I’m writing my ticket to hell here since she’s sincerely apologized many times now for how shitty she and her family were to me, but I’m just having too much fun every day reminding her what a loser and life failure she is and what human excrement her parents are. |

Would also explain the stupidly overvalued house since it was of course based in SV.

I talk to her about her attitude often. She sometimes apologizes but then slips back into old habits. She also drinks as heavily as I do but can't handle it and becomes sad and angry. She's nice when she's not stressed or drinking, but that's only about half the time.
I talked to her about the weight gain about a year after our son was born and she became enraged. She eats healthy, but her idea of exercise is a gentle stroll and she consumes a lot of calories from drinking. She gained sixty pounds during the pregnancy and has only lost about a little over half two years later.
She was sweet, beautiful, supportive and cheerful before we got engaged. After that, she got complacent. She's become professionally successful, but she can't handle the stress. I've managed to build a successful firm and stay in shape. We could probably afford to have her stay at home, but I'm not sure whether that would solve these issues or just cause her to drink more and grow resentful and lazy.

Wife is an amazing mother of 2 great kids who are great in large part because of her mothering style (strict about some things but loving at the same time). She thought she’d be a terrible mother before kids - I think that humility was a huge part in her abilities.
Wife also has a 180 body and face. She is breast feeding right now and so despite being a TOAS normally she has a legit pornstar body right now. Has committed to being Ironside approved when they go back to normal and start sagging.
Her family is wealthy but she is pretty well grounded. Despite making more than her she basically has brought about the same amount of lineup to the marriage due to gifts from her parents, and without question considers that money ours. So we basically live a debt free existence despite having two houses, nice cars, etc. at the same time there is no question that I’m the primary breadwinner.
