GF's 18 yo son "not feeling college" after getting his 910 SAT score yesterday

I told her GAP years are for students that worked their asses off and received high SAT scores. Their parents usually have money and can provide a culturally enriching experience prior to grueling it out at an Ivy League college. That's not the situation here. I suggested he try getting an apprenticeship in one of the trades. Anyway, I'm in the doghouse right now for being honest. |

2. There are like 10,000 colleges in this country, I see plenty of sub-100 IQs graduating from all sorts of colleges, depending on the major/college. He could major in "marketing" or something and it might not really be all that challenging even for him. Ended up going to berkeley and making it.
I figured i was smart enough i just didn't give a shit and knew life would work out. If I'd have gone to college right after HS it would have been bad, i was so sick of school and needed a break. College turned out to be 180 it was actually challenging and stimulating and i didn't take it for granted |
