1. The nighttime melee in the barracks/dorm area didn't make sense. "A few people missed a single meal. Everyone must die tonight!"
2. The VIP acting -- really, the voice acting, editing, and mixing -- was awful.
3. Shooting/blowing up the glass at the end of the bridge game was bullshit. In the rules of their world, winning fairly is winning. Blasting glass at the winning contestants wasn't fair.
4. It was also bullshit for the Front Man to turn off the lights toward the end of the bridge game. They effectively changed the game midstream, which was also inconsistent with the rules of their world.
5. The people running the game knew contestants could return, but they didn't even have metal detectors or good search procedures?
6. It was questionable for Gi-hun to turn around right as he was about to board the plane. He spent the latter part of the episode doing right by other people and keeping promises, he knew the game was ongoing, he wanted to see his daughter, and then he changed his mind. Why? He could have continued his crusade once he got home. And if immediately stopping senseless killings was so important, why did he make it to the airport in the first place? The epiphany didn't seem to have any motivating cause. |

Please help!" when people were constantly dying. But in this case I think that over time he had slowly earned her trust and she had really let her guard down toward the end. He was also just down to her and his friend who had turned murderous. She was his last ally and "friend." He was angry at what his friend had become, terrified about what would happen to himself, and all the other anxieties and stress from the games and everything.
I think "betraying" the old man was considered more "understandable" b/c the guy had a brain tumor and if he was suddenly showing that much dementia was going to die very soon anyway. |
