My hunch is that it will not be. Facebook has not come up with a popular innovation since they incorporated the Twitter style status updates into the platform and incorporated the in browser AIM style chat.
The main risk from Facebook IMO is that it will copy ethereum/Tezos/Cardano/etc code and find a way to market it better to the mass userbase. However I question how successful they will be given how unutilized their existing Facebook Payments tool is.
