This is why i disdain diversification in favor of big bets on better known, smaller cap coins. ETH/BTC have all of the downside of some black swan event but way less of the upside

I don't think either is a "long-term hold" as in you can safely leave your retirement money in those coins. They seem relatively stable as far as cryptos go though
