If you have any holdings of BNB, the default behavior is for the trading platform to take your transaction fee out of BNB at equivalent value (at 0.05% instead of the usual 0.1%, so half off). If you don’t have any BNB, 0.1% is deducted from the trade itself in whatever coin you are receiving. I’ve found it to be pretty seamless and the value of BNB itself has actually been slowly rising, too, perhaps because this discount feature gives it some actual and immediate utility (since everyone who trades on Binance really should have some, unless you enjoy higher fees).
