my gut feeling says btc is still due for an absolute panic-inducing, blood-curdling drop to like 4 or 5k to really find the true bottom. ppl who bought as recently as november are still possibly in the green, they need to be tested and shaken the fuck out. true despair hasn't set in, this whole ride down has been like a steady staircase. start at a 5 min chart and just start zooming progressively out til you're finally looking at the daily candles, or even the 3-day candles. we've ALMOST returned to the line of long-term logarithmic growth but the general market sentiment is so bearish i think a pants-shitting descent is still very much in the cards. the falling DOW isn't helping things either, and you're seriously kidding yourself if you think crypto represents any kind of 'flight to safety' from general market mayhem.

now i could be wrong, and btc has come so far down by this point it may not be worth the risk to sellcuck and try to get in cheaper (in case of a sudden violent rise, or new tethers lol), but watching 10s of thousands of dollars of unrealized gains melt away is starting to lose its fun. come at me bros.

$4-5k is too optimistic imo. This is the 6th great crypto bubble popping, the last being 2013, and the fomo was even higher in this one. $1000-2000 per btc I think isnt too far off.

didn't it drop from 1,000 to about 200-300 back then? It would seem a similar percentage drop would mean a drop from 20k to 4-6k.

maybe it's the sixth bitcoin bubble, but in my mind it's only the second "great crypto bubble". the end of the 2013 had government hearings and CNBC coverage, everything before that basically only made headlines on zerohedge. but i agree fomo was higher so maybe the ultimate bottom will be despairingly awful

It will fall until there is new money support.

Could be nonexistent until 2-5k.

Right now prices are really just being propped up by crypto traders with cash in their gdax accounts for dips.

let's not forget all this initial growth was spurred on by irrational expectation of free cash due to bitcoin forks.

cr. dreams of 100k BTC were moonshot but not impossible, as it implied a 2 trillion dollar market cap. but the entire crypto space is now so hopelessly diluted with forks and shitcoins it's all smoke and mirrors. "it hath a fixthed thupply," he lisped.
