Better highrise balcony or 1st floor porch??

That apt was on the 4th floor, it was ground only relative to the pool deck and could go directly down the outdoor stairs to the beach. But nobody else could get into their apt directly through the beach, they go through the lobby. I could definitely set up a punching bag or a rowing machine on that patio. Of course UES/UWS'ers don't use their balconies. Residents work 8am-8pm, their "view" is loud homeless junkies, and they will get ripped to shreds by their condo board for doing anything out there
I think this will work out well for you tho. There's a decent chance you can't have a punching bag in either apartment and being next to the beach means other ppl will be making noose and tracking sand.

So cannot use a kayak. In the older building 2-3 miles on a kayak and I'm on a secluded island in biscayne bay. Also get the entire skyline at night. And don't have to pay for that.
