I really enjoyed it. I was worried it was going to be too devastatingly morose, but it was filled with joy and light and wonder. I cried a little, but wasn't destroyed.
It's about 80 percent completely made up, but that's fine - it's unabashedly historical fiction.
I don't think Hamlet the play really tracks, but I can see how some of the king's speeches are really about loss.
