Also, make sure you're at least 4 miles from shore.
The problem with the first two options is that murder is really difficult to pull off. You'll be spotted on camera or caught in a lie, and the noose tightens from there. - ditch the gun in some sewer drain, well away the scene of the alleged 'crime'. similarly, toss the 5 or 6 shell casings down a drain somewhere else, always wear gloves when you handle them
