I’ve spoken to over 8 OBGYNs 4 being my own over the years. 2 were friends OBs I went to their appointments with. And 2 I personally emailed out of curiosity.(One being Dr. Poynor of NYC google her she was my OB for 10 years.) and they ALL told me vaginas are not designed for underwear. ESPECIALLY when wearing tight fitting workout clothes, legging, biker shorts. They say it’s too much heat and can force your body to trigger more of a “clean out” response. Now that’s not to say you can’t wear underwear if you’re not having this issue. And they all say “As long as there’s one layer of fabric between you and a surface you’re sitting on. Or you’re on your period and require a pad, there’s no medical reason you need underwear. It’s entirely social. |

I had so much discharge it would soak through my clothes. So gross to me, a little girl still. It continued on for some years. I still had heavier discharge but not like that! I stopped wearing undies in my late 20s. Menopause is here and now things are dry. Sigh.
