It's all I saw growing up, my parents are going to live with my bro (who lives in the same town), and we're gonna buy my in-laws a house near us so we can take care of them without them living in our house driving me fucking crazy with their weird behaviors.
We have a family compound but will likely spend significant time at our nearby pied a terre instead specifically to provide care for them.
Pretty much everyone I know expects their parents to live with them or in the same area.
Even before I copped DAT EQUITY, we figured we'd be caring for our parents in their old age.
Maybe this is some WASP bullshit, but Germans are better than that. |
