I stopped effortpoasting here because there’s pretty much nobody left here who cares about the sort of random thoughts and insights about the world that people like me like to think about and discuss for fun
Which is what it is. Twitter is now the only spot left for that sort of thing because everywhere else either got ruined by libs or swallowed up by twitters network effects
If you’re a reader of my Twitter, you already know that I think that private and de facto private forum communities are going to make a comeback because of the fallout from AI. So perhaps xo will Rise Again |

In general, "engagement" online is a double edged sword. Many things I say on Twitter are extremely inflammatory and would get me banned, harassed, or worse if I had more than my small amount of followers. The best "engagement" I get on Twitter is in the form of private DMs with like minded people who I have connected with via my poasting. If we are not already mutuals, don't be shy and reach out, I am actually a nice person believe it or not, despite what my shtick may make me seem like |
