Visegrád 24 @visegrad24 Britain’s richest businessman, Gopichand Hinduja, has died at the age of 85 after a long illness
Hinduja, head of the Hinduja Group, topped The Sunday Times Rich List with an estimated family fortune of £35.3 billion, built through investments in banking, real estate, oil, entertainment, and transport.
He joined the family business in 1959, a modest trading company founded in India and Iran in the early 20th century, and helped transform it into a global conglomerate.
Gopichand and his elder brother Srichand moved to London in the 1980s, from where they managed the Hinduja Group. Srichand passed away in 2023.
