Incredibly good-looking, successful nd wants me to move to Falls Church, VA

So I've found myself in an LDR...again. but this guy lives in Falls Church, VA which is a nice but boring suburb of DC. He wants me to move down there with him. He has a really lucrative job at a F500 company o it makes more sense for me to move than him to come to NYC (I have been working remotely ever since I got my new job last April and will be doing so for the foreseeable future).
So... I love him and am willing to leave my life and friends and family to be with him but... I do not want to live in the burbs. I want him to sell his house and move to DC. Is this too much to ask? I'm sacrificing to be with him and all that I ask is that we live in the city. It will be easier for him as well since he works in DC and he won't have to commute anymore. He doesn't want to move though and he says we will need a house once we marry and have kids so it makes no sense to move.

I think I am objectively smart (supported by my perrformance on the Specialized HS Admissions Test, the SAT, the LSAT and acceptances to various schools which I need not list), well educated (as I said Stuy, Yale and grad degree from a decent if not stellar school is well educated to 99% of people) and interesting (I don't want to go into it here but I really have found myself in some crazy life situations)

Marriage is a compromise and a partnership but you need more than deeply caring about someone. Ive been in those relationships and married someone I’m passionate about and firmly believe you can’t do it any other way. |
