bottom line is that in going from 600 to 800 matches, she picked up AT LEAST 50% of the most selective guys who didn't swipe her before. if you assume 100 never saw her profile and that the real sample size is 900, she is picking up 67% of the rejection population. |

that is why the DDC method of looking at the rejection population is absolutely critical here. if her baseline is 850 matches and she goes to 880 with augmentation, that is still a very meaningful increase even though it's not a large change in the raw number. if you can control out users who were always going to arbitrarily exclude her for reasons such as race or religion and exclude them from the sample size, the increase becomes even larger.
unfortunately, what is very difficult to model for is the fact that those last 30 matches she picks up are probably more desirable than the prior 850 combined. they are likely to be the true Chads, the most selective men, and a match with one of them is worth 40-50x a match with a Melvin. If we could properly model that, the returns would show us that the increase in breast size improved her attractiveness by THOUSANDS of percentage points. |
