Yamanayan steppe people practiced a sky father religion. You see the same theme in religious beliefs of all Indo-European speaking people's in some capacity. I saw a chart that mapped the various gods and their iteration in different mythology, but it's the same basic cast. It also is expressed in how Christianity was modified and adopted. Son comes down from sky father and makes a Nobel sacrifice.
I saw a Stanford lecture with the graph but this is pretty close.
