it's definitely becoming a common belief in the retard wing of the party. a technological singularity undermines people's need for god or belief that families or people are even valuable. they structure their worldview around the notion that humanity is unique and doing something special, and if GPUs doing matrix multiplication replicate their functions they aren't going to be able to tell themselves this anymore. |
