Not gonna watch.
But $120k remote = freedom and $120k anywhere plus the opportunity to get side work to increase your comp to low 200s anyways. $240k = no freedom, all in on one employer.

More I think of it, this makes sense for a 24-28 year old single person if they can travel and work from anywhere (this isn’t always the case).
For people with family, it probably makes sense to take the 240k

Most jobs (other than billing hourly as an idiot law firm lawyer, LJL at those dinosaurs) can be performed with 2-4 hours of actual work per day.
If you're in the office, you need to wake up early, commute to the office, and physically sit there for 9 hours, often browsing the internet or making idle chatter just to fill the time. Then you commute home and your day is over.
Same job from home = the ability to go to the gym, do errands, nap, play with your kids, and actually live your life, while fitting work in between.
It's a totally different mindset. WFH means you live your life and fit work around it. Office work means you carve out the majority of your adult life for working and fit your life around that.
You've have to be insane to take the latter, even for more money.

Didn’t realize how much I hated the subway until I moved within a 5 min walk of my job. IMO this is the best setup, combined with hybrid.
WFH is shitty bc it just means you’re always at work and everyone treats it that way. I’ve never seem so many 11pm urgent “pings”
