These include soybean oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, vegetable oils, and other highly processed oils. These oils have only been in use for the past century and have been linked with heart disease, cancer, gut inflammation, obesity and many other ailments.
ALTERNATIVES include butter, ghee, animal fats, coconut oil and some olive and avocado oil. These oils are naturally occurring, unprocessed, not highly oxidized. We've been consuming them for generations. The closer you get to the source of your food, the better.

The simplest rule seems to be buy shit on the four walls of the supermarket and avoid everything in an aisle, lol. Every single boxed or bagged product contains these oils.
Also, my grocery bill is ~$200 for self and child, I can only imagine what it would be if I were militant about organic shit, much less the prep time
tldr: want to do this but its overwhelming and expensive |

One thing that's important is getting better at reading ingredient lists. It certainly is more expensive at the beginning, and I feel for families that have fed their kids a lot of processed food that are trying to make the switch. It's a hard change at first. You get a better idea of what to buy as you go deeper down the rabbit hole. |

Sugar isn't necessarily a bad thing depending on the source/amount. Seed oils are toxic and usually have the baggage of the worst kinds of refined foods.
