Apparently the waitress was absolutely unrepentant when asked about it the next day by management in response to my email and telephone call. She was taken aside at around 11:30 am before the lunch shift started and asked about what transpired. She dug her feet in and insisted that she was right, and was unapologetic at a time when one would think the best thing to do was to admit a mistake was made. Absolutely insane. As I said, I blame Trump for giving a license to this racism and all around weirdness. |

Regarding the video, I assume it was some sort of gay pride event, and not "going to a gay bar" as that would be proscriptive. Wrong for the parents to take a kid to a gay pride event? Eh, whatever. Normal middle class people with gainful employment and no criminal record or history of institutionalization who live in urban areas do this on occasion, usually prompted by the wife.
