And imo it is definitely going to be way bigger than the internet. Ultimately the byproducts of the internet had a much bigger effect on humanity than the internet itself. But that's Another Story

For large stretches of history in many times and places almost nothing happened. Then in the modern era, an enormous amount began happening within even short periods of time. Each decade in the 19th century was like 1000 years of pre-modern Happenings
This continued all the way up to the end of the cold war, at which point History began to slow down until it started to grind to a complete halt around the Obama era
Now there is almost nothing happening at all except the soft civil war in the West and now AI |
