cr. i thought about this when they raided bin laden's compound, like the feeling those guys must've had when they came face to face with him - like, they found him and got him
p.s. gotta be a crazy transition to try to go be a spreadsheet jockey after you're done with the marines. not surprising that a lot of those guys struggle with it and continue to do high adrenaline things

i once watched an interview with an ex delta force dude (he was actually a character on the show SEAL Team). He couldn't talk much about the selection process other than it involved a month of super hard hiking carrying heavy packs. He then started talking about the actual training, and described it as "you then started doing training stuff, Rambo, etc., that made you feel like you were the star of an action movie"
I think he was a former Ranger too. Even he was blown away when he got to Delta.
