did this probably a decade ago and it was actually pretty boring.
sunflower fields and the Eisenhower library are the only real memories i have.
if i were with some people who were into exploring dead small towns it might have been a bit better.

the cities are pointless and boring. it's only worth doing if the goal is to see weird land features like the sandhills in western nebraska.

Des Moines - Iowa State Fair
Omaha - See a buddy + go to SAC Museum
KC - BBQ + WW1 Memorial
Topeka & Wichita - No good reason, need to break the drive up
Dodge City - Wild West
Manhattan - Sync up with KSU season opener
