Logically, this makes consistent sense with the idea that the universe is ever expanding and there is nothing but void beyond the observable universe. Perhaps the “edge” of the universe is just the event horizon and there is no way to escape or even worry about what might be on the other side (there really is no other side because all of space and time converges into singularity)
