Date: September 15th, 2025 9:48 AM Author: Yankel Rosenbaum ((zurich is stained)) why would they be critical thinkers? they grew up in a time of unparalleled prosperity where everything was in its right place, or seemed to be. they could get into a top university with a firm handshake and "grit" and pay for it with a job washing dishes, graduate median and either get a middle management/govt job or go to law/med school and get out with almost guaranteed UMC employment/income. they all bought houses in their late 20s/early 30s in places like chevy chase/bethesda, white plains, or santa monica for $135-220k (although they LOVE to tell you about their "double digit mortgage rate, not like the 3% you pay"), and those houses are all worth anywhere from $1.5 - 4 mil now. they put a little bit of money into an S&P index fund or "some company called microsoft" in 1983 and watched it all balloon into a fortune, etc. of course half these fucking idiots, despite all this, are broke and in debt up to their eyeballs because of harleys and luxury cruises.
they were basically living in the Truman Show but irl. if that were your world until you turned like 60, wouldn't you be credulous and believe what the people on the tv news said? |
