Police in Bahamas have arrested the husband of a missing American woman days after he told investigators she fell overboard from their dinghy in rough waters, his attorney said.
Royal Bahamas Police said Wednesday an American man had been taken into custody in connection with the case and was being questioned. The statement from the agency didn’t identify him.
Attorney Terrel Butler confirmed Brian Hooker was the man who had been arrested and said he “categorically and unequivocally denies any wrongdoing” in his wife’s disappearance. “He has been cooperating with the relevant authorities as part of an ongoing investigation.” |
