my nw now is around $3m. i started making what i consider serious money a couple years ago (this year is $650, next year i'll be equity and i am hoping for $800-900, but we will see). but i haven't increased my spending. no country club, porsche, boats, private school, etc. we still live in the same house we bought when i was an associate at jackson lewis making $150k. so if my income goes drastically down, whatever. so to some degree, i have freedom to do and say whatever i want. i do tone it down in professional settings (obviously i'm not going to start ranting about kikes and world jewry to a client or at a firm event), but i generally just act like myself and let do.

i got outed bc i mentioned a friend of mine who sang for a very popular hardcore band in the 90s/early 00s (desperate measures). he and i went to hs together. spaceporn saw one too many rapeson jokes from me and looked up my friend's name, then cross-referenced every single person on his facebook profile with basically every biglaw firm in DC (this is when i was a partner at baker hostetler) until he found a labor lawyer. he emailed me at my baker email address in like june 2020, lmao.

imagine being such a butthurt nerd that you spend hours doing something like this. i'm conflicted about sp. i know how it feels to get picked on; when i was 9-12 years old, i lived with my mom in texas and was dirt poor. clothes didn't fit, lights would get shut off sometimes, food stamps, etc. and i got teased for being the new kid as well as poor. it doesn't feel good. you can tell sp got picked on, so i get it. but he is such a vindictive, nasty prick. i get the impression that even if he had a functioning pecker and balls and didn't get bullied his whole life, he'd be a dickhead. so in a way, fuck him. but i still feel bad.

incidentally, i went to high school with two fairly big names in hardcore punk. the desperate measures guy and the singer of a band called 86 mentality. they were (and still are) very close friends of mine. i didn't foresee this happening, but i think that 20 years after the fact, 86 mentality is regarded as more legendary than DM. at the time DM was so huge that i thought they'd be considered in league with gorilla biscuits, yot, etc. but not quite. probably the incident that led to their breakup, which i won't bore you all with.

what's crazy is that spaceporn done this sort of sleuthing dozens of times and yours is the only time it worked. so, it's not like it was one isolated instance of deranged vindictiveness. he's done it to me several times, always accusing me of some random dude. i've seen him do it to many others. imagine how much time he's spent trying to out random poasters. all time he's billed as working for clients, i'm sure.

successfully outing you wound up really hurting him because it emboldened him and now he dedicates even more effort to outing people. same thing with getting boner police grounded. this is another example of how he'll be a vindictive piece of shit no matter what. every time he gets a W he lords it over people. for years he shat on people here for only caring about money when they mocked his career, but as soon as he made partner he changed his tune and started using his income to attack others.

i do feel bad because this likely is deep-seated trauma from being bullied. however he's like 50 now. that doesn't give him license to be a prick to everyone. some bullying victims become sympathetic to other victims like you, some want to become to bullies themselves because of an eternal vendetta against everyone else on earth.
