I didn’t track the local stuff super closely like my friend but he would go to gwar shows and tell me about them. We both liked Sex Pistols DK Black Flag etc at the time also I had a broader range of interest than he did and was less punk and less cool accordingly |

So I just heard about it after the fact from my one friend who was allowed to go. He described it at great length to me. I remember we were at science lab and one guy said that stuff sounds terrible how do you even say this is good music and my friend told him to fuck off. I was very young and my friend who was allowed to go was sort of indulged as an only child to older parents. Lucky guy. He got a trench coat and combat boots in middle school |
