I met Nomo at his restaurant in Hilcrest/Mission Hills San Diego!!!!

I didn’t want to bother him as in the local Japanese gossip mil my wife is a part of amongst the hair stylists (wife’s hair stylist’s husband is a former MLB and NPBL player), he’s a very reserved private dude so I didn’t want to just be up on his face. It’s also how she found out Nomo is the owner and the story behind the restaurant.

I waited until he used the restrooms so I can use the toilet after he does and just say hi quietly in the hallway towards the restrooms. BUT GODDAMN NOMO’s bladder is in the 5th dimension or something because he was downing sake after sake after sake and I was holding onto dear life with my bladder about to explode.

THEN FINALLY Nomo walks to the restrooms and I’m dancing outside the restroom doors because I REALLLLY need to pee VERY VERY badly.

He finally finishes in what sounded like a never-ending mini-waterfall of piss and comes out of the restrooms.

I’m literally nearly pissing myself but I’ve waited so long for this so I quietly say “Sir, big fan thank you..” something along those lines because I was holding my own piss and I can’t recall 100%.

Nomo bows back to me several times and says “thank you thank you!” with a huge smile.

That was the BEST piss I’ve ever taken in my entire life on this planet. I was a HUGE HUGE fan since his sensational rookie season where my Dad had season tickets, and he took me and my bro to go watch him pitch on most of his home starts; so to meet Nomo, get him to smile and bow with him brought out the little kid in me. I am STILL GIDDY as all hell and remembering it makes me so happy.

I’ll never forget it. Huge huge props to my wife to find out which restaurant it was that’s owned by him, and when he usually goes.
