Ford, the intelligence value would be huge. By riding in the carrier’s wake, a submarine could capture the Ford’s acoustic and electronic signature essentially its unique "thumbprint." With that data, Russian forces could track the Ford much more easily in the future and even prepare targeting solutions in a crisis or wartime scenario.
Anyway, we wait for more information, but something is definitely happening there.
