JL Gotham sub. Currently using a marantz pre-amp/reciever thing I bought who knows when but it does have hdmi. Have a C2200 but it’s decoration. Have some other stuff but usually it is just plug the phone in and listen and chill. Have a bunch of Telarc CDs I listen to as well. Run my old Sony CD player.
Oh and I have two baby magnapans as rear channels doing a phantom center for “home theater”. |

I have an RME ADI-2 DAC that I primarily use for speakers in my living room. But it has 5 bands of parametric EQ that can be used on headphones or the line out. I have a pair of low end Grados that I already like without DSP but they sound so much better with EQ |

DSP is the math that is done when applying a filter to digital audio. It's also a term for the specialized chips that do that math.
Why apply EQ to your audio? There's no such thing as a perfect speaker or headphone. Also no such thing as a perfect room. EQ gets you closer to perfect for way less money than spendy speakers and room treatment. |

I have my eye on a cheap tube amp/receiver (Rockville blutube $143 currently) and want a pair of speakers for my home office mainly to have decent sound for zoom etc but also music and tv.
Edit: decided to skip the tubes as I am sure they would end up ticking me off and decided I wanted a sub so before it spiraled out of control I went with Black Friday Amazon specials of Polk T15 ($120) and Fosi BT40D pro 2.1 amp ($87) some speaker wires with banana clip ($17) and a JBL car audio sub I had in the attic (free since I had it and it already has speaker wire). |
