"Selling" would be the euphamistic way of putting it. Basically there's a ton of people that go out there and create an amorphous "lifestyle" type product which is usually centered around them (in other words, look at how great I am, look at how I have no stress, look at how my house is freshly remodeled, look at how I have tons of time to work out and a perfect body). Then they try to sell the idea of their perfection to others. As in, I can help you be successful. This is like the lifestyle/workout coach iteration.

Then there are other iterations where someone pretends to have a special skill. "Here, I'll handle all of these complicated tasks for you and ferry you through the legal process." This person is like in professional services (think lawyers, bankers, accountants, medical doctors, financial planners).

Then there are the people that can do things with their hands but charge you a massive markup that is just obscene (plumbers, electricians, concrete workers, carpenters, landscapers, house painters, flooring installation persons, roofers).

Then there's the goverment which just creates problems and work out of nothing and then pays people to do make work all day long.

Our whole society is organized around fucking one another over. I don't understand why we haven't just opted out and stopped cooperating. It's all a big ball of fraud about to unwind.
