Maria attended the undergraduate business program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and played tennis for the school as well. She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in economics, and began working at Goldman Sachs. In 2019, when their father, Konsantin, passed away suddenly, the sisters leaned on each other for support.

According to her LinkedIn, Maria was at Goldman for nearly seven years, before getting hired at Bank of America. There, she was hired as a Director, and made the Forbes 30 under 30 list, for “leading Bank of America's effort to build out a credit default swaps trading business, focusing at first on investment grade credit.” She worked there, too, for almost seven years before starting a new job this past January at Loop Capital as a Portfolio Manager. Per her LinkedIn, “Loop Capital Asset Management (LCAM) manages approximately $10 billion in assets across twelve fixed income strategies. In addition to managing current portfolios, Maria will focus on growing LCAM’s current high yield and structured product offerings, and expanding into absolute return and multi asset credit strategies.”
