My last 3 rounds I shot 40s on front 9 and 50s on back 9
Should I just become a 9-hole specialist?

playing a ton of 9 hole rounds is a great way to build a handicap you don't actually play to. it's much easier to burst energy a good 9-hole score vs. putting it together for a full 18.

on a related note, this happened this morning. The standing closer to the ball thing you mentioned in the snap hook thread is actually helping.

I start early extending like a mofo and skulling every other shot
Mentally it definitely feels more tedious, like is this really how I should be spending my time. The time waiting to hit builds up and I'm wondering where is the cart girl
Also my phone is usually blowing up around then from ignoring calls all morning

turn off the phone. develop a consistent pre-shot routine that focuses as much on clearing the mind as on shot mechanica.

don't CA rounds take like 5 hours on avg? you're probably just tired and bored by the end of it.

I'm usually better on the back, largely because I'll sort of figure out what my ball is doing that day or make some small adjustments.
I have had a few rounds this year where I had a great start and then fucked it up on the back. Probably a bit of a psychological thing where I feel pressure to break 80 or post a good score.
