I've seen this pattern many times. People who seem to have their shit together purely for appearances are often psychopaths and manipulators with their own families.
It's pretty nightmarish. I have someone like this in my family. He never dealt with childhood trauma or rejection and turned into a full-blown bully and manipulative psychopath.
Very charming, right up until things don't go his way.

You guys don't think about this very coherently
CSLG is a bad person because he's a short ugly rat faced psychopathic Jew. It doesn't really matter that he cheated on his wife with prostitutes. If he was a 6'5" handsome Chad who gave his kids his superior genetics, they'd all forgive him for cheating on their mom once they grew up, and would be thankful to him for fathering them and would all look up to him and love him no matter how many women he "cheated on" his wife with
There is no morality but biology

1. honorable work, good husband and parent
2. scummy work, good husband and parent
3. honorable work, shitty husband and parent
4. scummy work, shitty husband and parent
no one is in category (2)? i think it's more common than you'd guess.

Being a "good husband and parent" is having a good phenotype and giving your kids good genes
Shit like "making a good salary" and "going to your kids baseball games" and "being faithful to your wife" is all made up cope to avoid confronting the fact that none of any of this shit matters except for genetics. A Chad with a good phenotype who jizzed in your mom after meeting her 5 minutes previously and who disappeared and was never part of your life in any way is an Objectively Better Father than a shitlawyer worth $50mm who dotes on his children and treats his wife like a princess but who literally looks like a fucking rodent and is 5'3" and who passed those genes down to his offspring
Did you even read my post?

once i sobered up in 2021, i didn't go too long before i approached my wife about reconciling. the kids were definite a factor in that.
once when the kids were at my apartment, we were playing at the apt complex's playground and my older son (7 at the time) met this little girl around his age. she started talking about what apartment she lived in and he said "i don't live here. my dad lives here, i live at home with my mom. they're getting divorced." i nearly burst into tears right there and started questioning wtf i was doing with my life.
obviously each relationship is different, and if CSLG is being truthful about his wife (she is withdrawn, borderline abusive, etc), then i guess he's right for leaving. but i am skeptical of those claims. if he really broke his family apart so he could slam 23 year old hole, that is extremely sad.

i have a few memories of my parents being together. they split when i was 4 (and my mom kidnapped me, lmao).
one of those memories is my dad beating my mom's ass (she cheated on him - he fucked many women while married to her, but he didn;t like when she did it).
another time, we threw bullfogs into the bath when she was taking a bath.

i dunno, and honestly it's possible the memory didn't happen.
i remember it being summertime and just after a shower. this was at our house in Bowie, MD back when bowie was white. it would have been like 1983.
i remember my dad handing me a frog and he had one. we threw them in the bath and she freaked out. she is deaf, so her freaking out was hilarious.
it could be that they were just regular frogs. or again perhaps this never happened and i dreamed it.
