The quote in the OP was of course lulzy. It’s part of a very tedious discussion about Israel’s right to exist. I wish Tucker had been more focused but this is the best admission he got. Huckabee knew he goofed and claimed later he was just being hyperbolic.
Huckabee later repeatedly compared the IDF in Gaza favorably to our own troops, first claiming they warned civilians about strikes in ways US troops won’t and then later that the IDF killed fewer civilians than in any comparable instance of modern warfare. Tucker asked for numbers that would support that and Huckabee could not give them to him, but vaguely referenced casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan. So again Huckabee was throwing our troops under the bus to favor Israel.
Huckabee apparently met with notorious traitor Jonathan Pollard and Tucker asked him why. Huckabee claimed they were just exchanging pleasantries for a half hour. Tucker pointed out that it sends a particular message when the US ambassador meets with someone like that and Huckabee played dumb.
Tucker brought up Jewish sex offenders who hide out in Israel. Huckabee acted like he was powerless to do anything without orders from the WH or DOJ. |
