The idea that the U.S. is "overextended" is dangerous

The U.S. was lucky in that the Pentagon actually tries to prepare for major wars and luckily decided to pivot to Asia a decade ago so our major weapons systems and upcoming procurement is really tuned to fighting an air-sea battle in another hemisphere.
But if our enemies think we are weak, then that's a problem too.
The likelihood of a miscalculation on the part of our enemies is really high. |
