I think my life would not have necessarily been worse. Certainly, I would not have become a lawyer which is a huge positive in and of itself. Probably would have played a couple of years of JUCO baseball and ended up a highway patrol or something or maybe a physical therapist. I would have been forced to do something which was easily attainable with my life and probably would have been happier.
Growing up in a deeply rural area and with a father who never wanted to step off of our land except to go to work meant I was so sheltered and enamored with the prospect of leaving and doing big things, but because of the background I was pretty unsuited for the life compared to a urban kid who grew up in the suburbs.
I often go back to those moments as a teen where I was so careful not to get the girl pregnant and wonder what life would have been like if I had just creamed every time I had the chance. |

And it was certainly when I learned to generally interact with people
