it was a parody of 'message movies.' the plot was that a girl was becoming anorexic, and despite friends trying to pull her out of her death spiral, she was being dragged toward doom by an internet cult called The Thinline Group, kind of based on the hale-bopp comet suicide cult, but for anorexics.

one of her friends tried to investigate the cult, and discovered that it was actually a marketing ploy by an ad agency for an upcoming film about anorexia, but it went too far, and had grown beyond the agency's control due to the power of computer.

however, the story ended happily when the film's producers hired her to play the lead actress in the movie, and forced her to gorge herself to bulk up for the 'before' sequences.

my biggest innovation was that the anorexic girl would be played by the fattest actress we could find, and that this would simply never be mentioned or 'explained.'

the drama teacher told me it was too weird and complex in terms of sets for them to stage.
