If I do 14on/28off for a total of 121 shifts per year is it better than standard work of 190day shifts per year, only 14 weeks vacation? Also the idea would be to rent a place in Honolulu but maintain residency in Florida so I'm not hit with a 100k tax bill. I would then go on 28day vacations. And the whole point of this is to travel and rent a 3rd place. Fixed expenses are relatively high so my net income would be much lower if I do 60shifts instead of 122 and I can't even write off most of the expenses.
