Capcom is saying "No, we don't need the woke slop or live service shitshows. We can turn back the clock to 2010 or so and make story-driven single player action games with high production values, and they might not be financial home runs, but we can get by with an honest day's work for an honest day's pay. And we've got another Megaman game in the works, hopefully better than MM11." What does this say to you about the ABSOLUTE STATE OF GAMING? It looks to me like the pendulum might be swinging back.
Then you have Crimson Desert quickly being beaten into something playable with rapid patches, and Saros coming out soon as the likely GOTY.
Then on the other hand, Marathon has been absolutely bleeding players since it came out and is already a dead game. Almost $4 BILLION invested between dev costs and sony's purchase of bungie, for a game that likely can't even make enough per month to offset servers\updates\maintenance.
I'd say the STATE OF GAMING is pretty good right now. |

Kojima is doing the same thing btw. Pragmata basically seems like Death Stranding to me.
Also people have been saying this for a long time. Libs/Losers/feminists don’t want the narrative to take hold. Any reddit thread on this gets downvoted. They all say, “look, there are good western games and good Japanese games. Both have examples of the folly of AAA. Where it comes from doesn’t matter. Thread Locked.” |
