In sales you never want a shit salesman to burn through your best leads because they are expensive. You would rather dole them out to your top people slowly so they have a high chance of closing on each one. It's typical for shit salesmen to have to go through garbage leads. I was terrible at sales back in the day and I had to go through it shit leads. There was a woman in our office who was like Ricky Roma. She put up kooky numbers. My boss told me once that the whole point of his job was to find the next Roma. One guy or gal with talent does more than the whole rest of the sales room.

every sales office has a roma. often rotating. gene likes to point out he used to be top dog. the best salespeople are pretty eratic and usually abusing a substance. you know how drug addicts are frequently charismatic and persuasive? so they work in bursts of motivation. make a few big sales and you're living large and fucking off until the money runs dry, and then you're scrambling like gene suddenly.

hot women break this mold, they're usually chill and guys just buy stuff cause they're hot. and indians, who never stop hussling, although they rarely reach roma tier because they smell bad and are transparently out to fuck people over.
