even most people here were on the obama train in 2008. after 8 years of bush it felt like *something* was gonna happen. obama was ostensibly an outside campaigning on HOPE AND CHANGE, and ready to tackle the establishment. on top of that, we elected a black president overwhelmingly named BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, proving that america is mostly a race-blind society. and he came in with a huge mandate and enough congressional votes to pass anything.
