but wait before trump was elected you assured me trump was a illuminati plant and wouldn't do anything.
but he is attempting the deportations he promised, which according to you now... confirms your conspiracy theory.
damn consuela really weird how everything always neatly aligns with your conspiracy theory even when you predicted the exact opposite.

Hey Grok how many people are prosecuted a year for facilitating illegal migration, such as coyotes?
Exact figures on annual prosecutions for facilitating illegal migration, like coyotes, are tough to pin down because data is scattered and not always publicly detailed. However, I can piece together what’s available from reliable sources and give you a sense of the scale.
In the U.S., human smuggling is primarily prosecuted under federal law, often through statutes like 8 U.S.C. § 1324, which covers bringing in or harboring unauthorized immigrants. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are the main agencies involved. A 2014 ICE operation, "Operation Coyote," reported capturing 363 smugglers over a few months, seizing over $800,000 in smuggling profits. That’s a snapshot, not an annual total, but it suggests hundreds of cases can be targeted in a single focused effort.[](https://www.latinousa.org/2014/09/12/smugglers/)
A 2022 New York Times article noted that migrant smuggling has grown into a multi-billion-dollar industry, with organized crime increasingly involved, leading to more federal prosecutions. However, precise numbers are rarely published because many cases are handled locally or go unreported in public datasets. The U.S. Sentencing Commission’s 2023 report on immigration offenses doesn’t break out smuggling specifically but shows thousands of immigration-related prosecutions annually, with smuggling as a subset.[](https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/25/us/migrant-smuggling-evolution.html)
On the Mexico side, laws penalizing aiding illegal entry exist, but enforcement is inconsistent, and data on prosecutions is sparse. A 2015 study mentioned in Migration Policy Institute’s article found that only 30% of Mexican migrants hired community-based smugglers, with others caught up in larger networks, which complicates tracking prosecutions.[](https://www.migrationpolicy.org/article/ally-or-exploiter-smuggler-migrant-relationship-complex-one)
My estimate, based on available data, is that U.S. federal prosecutions for human smuggling likely range from several hundred to a few thousand per year, depending on enforcement priorities and border activity. This doesn’t include state-level cases or unreported dispositions. For a more precise number, you’d need access to internal DOJ or CBP records, which aren’t fully public.
If you want me to dig deeper into specific years or regions, let me know!

IDK. One of the features of this modern world is that us normal people we never have any idea what our rulers are actually fighting about, we just endlessly and pointlessly squabble about trannies, assault weapons, etc.
My guess: in 2020, Trump was going to win the election and that side (dem party, doners, fed. gov., media players, etc., whoever the people are) organized an attack to stop it.
In 2025, Trump has scored some hits against the powers that be (especially with the smoking of USAID), and Trump is insanely powerful and popular right now, so the "left" side needs a win. My guess is MAGA was intentionally doing dramatic immigration raids in California (in Los Angeles) to provoke this response to do..... whatever comes next. Or not, who knows.

IMHO:
There has been a dispute with regards to power to enforce laws between State and Federal entities, as well as the political parties that express their will through the State and Federal gov.
States chose to straight ignore federal law on drugs. It's a situation that remains today. States have absolutely said that they will not enforce federal immigration law and will actively resist efforts on immigration.
Assume nobody really cares about the [plight of immigrants - a fair assumption considering deportation numbers under Obama - and the dispute looks like two political factions fighting, with the shitlibs being represented by union organizers, dark-dem organizations that support rioting, and useful-idiot civilian libs. On the other side is MAGA (certainly not eGOP), being represented by the national guard & military. The dispute is about who is in charge and who has the ultimate authority.
In 2020, MAGA land was not prepared for the organization and preparation from Shitlibs, and in 2020 shitlibs showed how their organization was stronger than the federal government (or right/ MAGA state governments). Trump did nothing as he was forced into his emergency bunker, shitlibs burnt the church next to the whitehouse, shitlibs rioted at the whitehouse and caused a bunch of injuries, shitlibs painted their brand "BLM" on everything, etc. etc. etc. and there was no counterattack - because despite having the "title" as president, the organizations that back these parties are much stronger than any one individual. Contrast that with the counterattack on the Jan. 6th people and you can see what real power looks like. Look what happened to the right-wing useful idiot civilians like the Proud Boys - again, you can do that to people when you have real power.
I assume this riot/showdown/fight/battle/whatever for power will be interesting and I'm hoping that Trump uses these protestors as an example of what happens when the dem party tests the power of the federal government.
It will also be an interesting test about what MAGA people learned about power and whether they can really fight existing power structure in this country (what used to be called the uniparty).
Please feel free to point out how I'm an idiot.
